There have been many great souls who have incarnated on this planet earth, but none like Lord Krishna as he is known as Prem Avtar (Love incarnation). The biggest teaching that mankind will always remember of Lord Krishna is the “Philosophy of Love”. He showed to the world each and every form of love – love for Mother Yashoda (his foster mother), love for his brother Balram, love for Gopies (this was pure platonic, nothing physical), love for his friends, love for animals (cows used to dance when he used to play his flute), and supreme form of love was between Lord Krishna and Maa Radha. 

Love is the only eternal truth that Lord tried to teach not by words but by his actions (karma). Lord Krishna is the only person in the history of human consciousness who is tremendously in love with life, with the poetry of life, with the music of life, with dance of life – no wonder it is said that Ashtagandha used to emanate from his body all the time (8 kinds of divine scents use to emanate from his body all the time). Lord Krishna is not known as Guru, he is Jagat Guru – Krishnam Vande Jagat Gurum (The one who is known as Jagat/World’s Guru).
Let us remember the Lord once again on Krishna Janmashtami (2nd September) & consciously try to imbibe the energy of Love so that it starts to reflect in our lives.

भारत की इस भूमि पे नजाने कितने संत महापुरुष अवतरित हुए हे, पर श्री कृष्ण जैसे कोई नहीं – क्योंकि वह प्रभु का पूर्ण प्रेम अवतार था! सारी मानव सभ्यता को कृष्ण ने प्यार की परिभाषा से अवगत कराया. उन्होंने दुनिया के सामने प्यार का न केवल शब्दों में विवेचन किया, उन्होंने प्यार के विभिन रूपों को अपने कर्मो से लोगो के समक्ष प्रस्तुत किया – उनका मातृतुल्य प्यार यशोदा मैया की प्रति, उनका भ्रातृ प्रेम बलराम के प्रति, उनका प्रेम अपने मित्रो के प्रति, उनका प्रेम गोपिया की प्रति, उनका प्यार समस्त प्राणियों के प्रति (जब वे बंसरी बजाते तो गाय झूमने लगती), और उनका प्यार जो आज भी अजरामर हे राधे माँ के प्रति!
प्यार ही इस जीवन का सारभूत तथ्य हे. श्रीकृष्ण के रोम रोम प्रत्रि रोम से अष्टगंध हमेशा प्रवाहित होती थी, और क्यों न हो उनका सारा जीवन प्रेममय था – काव्य, वादन और नृत्य हर उस चीज़ से उनका जीवन ओतप्रोत था. इसीलिए श्रीकृष्ण को गुरु नहीं जगत गुरु कहा गया हे – “कृष्णम वन्दे जगत गुरुम”
आज कृष्ण जन्माष्टमी के दिन कुछ क्षण शांत चित्त से उनको याद करके हम भी उस प्रेम को अपने जीवन में समाहित करे.
